Aghniya Nudiya Yasfi, a D3 Tax Administration student at PSDKU Batang Campus, Diponegoro University, succeeded in winning two championships at once in the competition Kejuaraan Provinsi (KEJURPROV) II Selam Jawa Tengah Tahun 2023. The first championship will be held from January 28 to January 29 2023 at the Magelang City Stadium. Aghniya won 2nd Place in the KU Women's 800m Surface Number (Age Group) A. For the second championship held from May 12 to May 14 2023 at the Purwokerto City Stadium, she also managed to win 3rd Place in the KU Women's 200m Surface Number (Age Group) A.
Aghniya has been taking part in diving competitions since 2016. However, before that, she always took part in swimming competitions. It started as a fad trying to take part in a diving competition, until finally he became interested in diving. "In diving there are lots of tools such as Monofins, Bifins, Snorkels, so it's cooler," said Aghniya.
The achievements that have been achieved are of course through careful preparation. Aghniya revealed that the preparations she always does are diving, fitness and jogging regularly.
"Winning two championships this year, first of all I am grateful to Allah because I was still given the opportunity to win and I certainly did not expect to become champion. The problem is that KU (Age Group) is considered old. "Moreover, KU usually has really good opponents, so I'm really grateful to Allah and of course happy to be able to make the name of the alma mater proud," explained Aghniya.
Even though there is a slight decline in performance, this championship will of course be future motivation for Aghniya. "Persistence can turn failure into extraordinary achievement, Matt Biondi," said Aghniya.
