LPPM Undip held another Research Proposal Writing and Community Service Training Training for Young Lecturers at Diponegoro University on Wednesday 26 July 2023. The event, which was held in the UNDIP Tembalang ICT Building, the International Convention Center Room, was attended by 140 young lecturers from various faculties at Diponegoro University. The training is divided into two schemes, the first is writing a proposal for the DRTPM national competitive grant with resource person Prof. Dr. Okid Parama Astirin, MS., UNS academic and one of the Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture's DRTPM team. Second, training in writing proposals for grants other than UNDIP's internal APBN with resource person Prof. Dr. Mohamad Djaeni, S.T., M.Eng., senior researcher who is a professor at the Faculty of Engineering. Present at this event was the leader of LPPM UNDIP, Prof. Dr. Jamari, S.T., M.T., Prof. Dr. Agus Subagio, S.Si., M.Sc. and Prof. Dr. Rahayu, S.H., M.Hum..

Chair of LPPM UNDIP, Prof. Dr. Jamari, S.T., M.T., said that UNDIP needs to prepare the next generation in the fields of research and community service. "You are the ones who will receive the baton, when we get older and our productivity is limited," he said.

The first resource person, Prof. Dr. Okid Parama Astirin, MS., dissected step by step including each type of research proposal and community service at the national level of DRTPM. Session one of the training took place enthusiastically with various interactions between resource persons and participants. One of them is a discussion regarding notes/corrections by DRTPM reviewers which do not appear in the BIMA application. "The results of the review can be requested collectively through the LPPM of each university by writing to the Directorate General of Higher Education," he explained.

The second resource person, Prof. Dr. Mohamad Djaeni, S.T., M.Eng., discussed ideas and techniques for writing proposals for UNDIP internal competitive grants (funds other than APBN). Prof. Djaeni gave an example of the progress of developing community service carried out by UNDIP PSDKU Batang Vocational School lecturer Ropinov Saputro, S.E., M.M.. "After last year's success with P3M, Mas Ropinov has also gained a network in Batang, village heads and others, so "This year he made and was declared to have passed the IDBU (Science and Technology for Undip Assisted Villages) proposal, in Tumbrep village, where the UNDIP PSDKU Batang campus is located," explained Prof. Djaen.

We hope that this LPPM UNDIP training will not only be attended by hundreds of enthusiastic participants, but will also motivate young lecturers to immediately implement the knowledge they have gained, by preparing proposals/ideas that are beneficial to society, and carrying out these activities as well as possible. UNDIP Jaya! (rpv)
