- Socialization Door to Door to the Pakis Village Resident's House
Pati Regency (02/08/2023) – Real Work Lecture (KKN) students from Diponegoro University (Undip) have implemented a socialization program on the importance of community participation in public supervision to prevent maladministration and distribution of brochures related to the flow of supervision of digital-based public services in Pakis Village , Tayu District, Pati Regency.
This program is carried out in the form of outreach to residents' homes on Wednesday, August 2 2023, which aims to educate the public about the importance of their participation in preventing the practice of KKN (Corruption, Collusion and Nepotism) which is a form of maladministration. Maladministration is bad or shoddy service. The use of the word maladministration is generally related to the services provided by the government to the community. Undip KKN students share knowledge and knowledge regarding complaint procedures that can be made by the community if they discover any form of maladministration.
According to the Indonesian Ombudsman, there are 10 criteria for maladministration, including:
- Service providers provide services by stalling for time
- The service provider does not carry out requests or service requests
- Public service implementers have qualifications that are not in accordance with their duties and functions
- Service providers arbitrarily violate regulations in providing services
- Officers ask people for money or goods to get good service
- Service providers do not comply with standard operational procedures in providing services
- The service provider acts unreasonably, impolitely and inappropriately.
- Service providers make decisions or actions that benefit other parties
- Service providers cannot work professionally because they have personal interests so that the services provided are not objective and appropriate.
- Service implementers do not provide services in whole or in part to the community
This socialization program is an adaptation of the Indonesian Ombudsman's efforts in supervising the implementation of public services both provided by state and government administrators, including those organized by State-Owned Enterprises, Regional-Owned Enterprises and State-Owned Legal Entities as well as private entities or individuals who are tasked with administering them. certain public services whose funds are partly or wholly sourced from the state revenue and expenditure budget and/or regional revenue and expenditure budget.

Undip KKN students held outreach regarding public supervision to the Pakis Village community. With this outreach activity, the village community can increase awareness of the importance of their role in improving the quality of public services. Undip KKN students introduced the public to the existence of a special forum for receiving all kinds of complaints regarding the 10 criteria for maladministration according to the Indonesian Ombudsman. This complaint forum can be accessed independently by members of the public via the Whatsapp application, Email and the Indonesian Ombudsman Website. Apart from that, they can come directly to the Indonesian Ombudsman representative offices spread across 34 provinces.
With this program, it is hoped that it can have an impact on better and more optimal public services. The support program from Undip KKN Students for public sector supervision by the Indonesian Ombudsman is clear evidence of the need for collaboration between institutional scope and community participation to improve the quality of public services in Indonesia. There is a need for public awareness of the importance of their role in improving the quality of public services by continuing to monitor the performance of public servants. (aaa)
