Ropinov Saputro, S.E., M.M. UNDIP PSDKU Batang lecturers were asked to be judges in the 2023 Batang Regency KRENOVA Competition

The Batang Regency Government is again holding the Community Creativity and Innovation Competition (KRENOVA) in 2023 which will be implemented by the Batang Regency Research and Development Planning Agency (BAPELITBANG). Judging was held on Wednesday 12 July 2023 in the Ujungnegoro room of Bapelitbang Batang, with 12 nominated/participating teams.

The jury consists of two groups, namely, one from Bapelitbang itself, the Head of the Agency, the Head of Research and Development and the Bapelitbang Science and Technology Utilization Analyst. While the second group consisted of Drs. Y. Anggoro T., M.Eng. academics and teachers from SMK 1 Kandeman as well as jury coordinators. Then Ropinov Saputro, S.E., M.M., academic lecturer at Diponegoro University, Isnen Ambar Santoso, S.P. practitioner and winner of KRENOVA Batang Regency 2022, and Drs. Arif Suryoto, senior journalist at Suara Merdeka.

The first team participating in KRENOVA Batang 2023 explained their innovation in the form of a Peanut Peeling Machine (Pelling Nuts) innovation by Vika Nurdiyana and team, which was motivated by the difficulty of peeling the harvest by farmers. Apart from each jury asking questions and discussions to each participating team, the jury also provided suggestions and encouragement to make the participants' innovation even better. Several other innovations include Homemade Power Enhancing Tools, Arduino-Based Automatic Smart Trash, Design of Serrated Roller Axles, Realtime Heart Rate Monitoring Tools and many more.

Ropinov Saputro, lecturer at Diponegoro University Vocational School, said that the people of Batang have a high spirit of creativity and innovation and dare to show off in competitions such as KRENOVA 2023. "This is a good innovation atmosphere and must be maintained and even improved," he said. He also hopes that the Batang Regency Government will continue to encourage and facilitate people who have superior creativity and innovation. Regarding this matter, the Head of the Research and Development Division of Bapelitbang Batang, Bagus Pambudi, S.Sos, M.A.P, MIDS, Ph.D gave his response. "For the winners of the Krenova competition, the first winner receives cash of Rp. 7,500,000.00, the second winner receives cash of Rp. 5,000,000.00, the third winner receives cash of Rp. 3,500,000.00, and for candidates one to three receive cash "Rp. 1,000,000.00 each in cash, as coaching costs," he concluded.
